Old Country Place in Canton

Found this great little spot this afternoon almost by accident! We don't live in the area, but drove by & decided to pop in for a late lunch with my parents. Very friendly greeting, super nice server (wish I could remember his name!). Great BBQ tacos & sweet potato tots!! We'll stop by again when we're in the area!

Oh my gosh! This food was absolutely amazing! Ordered take out over the phone, staff was very friendly! Picked the food up flawlessly and when we got home, oh my gosh it was so delicious! My four year old was cautious of the fries but loved them! I ate every bite! Can’t wait to be able to come and dine in! AMAZING FOOD!!!!!!!!!!

As far as what I had for dinner I'd give them a plus over Shane's for sure. Menu very similar to most BBQ places. Would have given them a 5 star had they had a way to muffle the sound. There was a group of 10 whose voices echoed thru the room. Service was quick and pleasant, manager even checked on me to make sure all was fine. Will definitely return to try more.

A much needed addition to Hickory Flat. BBQ is great. Sandwiches are great. Potato salad is AMAZING!

NEVER order food from Old Country Place through Grubhub!! I ordered my food and waited an hour for it before Grubhub canceled my order without notice. This place is a joke.

This restaurant should use a different company to deliver food for them. Grubhub is the worst company I’ve ever felt with. They canceled my order for no reason. I do not recommend ordering food to go from Old Country Place and never use Grubhub to deliver anything.

Usually most restaurants have one or two good things, this place has excellent everything! I highly recommend The cheese curds with honey mustard, it’s strange but great combination!

I got the barbecue chicken sandwich baked beans and potato salad the chicken sandwich was pretty good it should have been chopped up more the baked beans tasted like BBQ pinto beans and the potato salad had absolutely no taste The Host that took my order was not really friendly at all I only went hear because it was recommending me to buy another driver us drivers are Foodies by Nature

There was this one person that was serving us, and everyone at my table loved her, she was so funny and nice. She deserves a raise in my opinion.

Tried this place while I was in the area. I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious and service was great! I will definitely make it a point to come back.

Pretty good, changed original menu. Limits you to one meat plates smaller than use to. now charge $2 extra for sides, charge $1 for cheese on kids burger.... went from favorite place to not so much.

I had the brisket and if it would have been fresh it would have tasted great I’m sure, the Mac and cheese was also not good, it was over cooked. We have tried it twice. I don’t see myself going back. My waitress was great the service is great just the food wasn’t.

Good, good, good!! Got a build-your-own burger medium rare and they cooked it to perfection. Staff is wonderful, the epitome of southern hospitality, as my wife said in her review. They have a selection of BBQ sauces at each table, of which I particularly favored the Kansas City Sauce, with their house BBQ sauce a close second. Finally, their sweet tea is perfect. All in all, a great place to eat a good lunch, dinner, or have some drinks and chill.

Great local beers. Que is always good along with the service.

This is one of my favorite places to eat within a short drive from my house. Quite frankly, it's one of the best BBQ places around even if I wanted to go for a longer drive! If you like Nashville Hot Chicken, they've got their version that you seriously need to try - it's great. The brisket is a bit pricey for what you get, BUT..it's fantastic. Knowing how much time and energy it takes to smoke a brisket of this quality, it makes sense why the price is what it is. All in all, I haven't had a bad meal here. I have also really enjoyed the evenings where they have live entertainment. I know, for some, it might get a little loud when there is live music, but you can eat outside on the patio if you're feeling a little stuffy and uptight. I should also mention that they have absolutely killer deserts and while it may be hard to leave room after the BBQ, I promise that it's worth it. (at least get some pie to-go!)

My family decided to do an online order for Mother's Day today. My dad had to wait over an hour because they "misplaced" our order even though my dad handed them the printed off order confirmation number. After a few more minutes they miraculously found it after he told them he was leaving. Who knows how long the food had been sitting there for. It was cold, soggy, and mushy when we finally brought it home, so obviously a while. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich . This was my first time getting it. It was incredibly spicy, like uncomfortably spicy. It was honestly disgusting but there's nothing on the menu to indicate it was spicy.

It has been a few years since my last visit so lunch at the Old Country Place was a priority and I was not disappointed! I had a combo plate of pulled pork and brisket along with Bama slaw and Sweet Tater Tots. The service was great and the food was excellent. The next time I am in Woodstock I will return for lunch

One of Cherokee best restaurants... The Smokehouse puts out great meets... I do however wish that their brisket was sliced... I love there pork skins and I absolutely crave their macaroni and cheese and they're green bean casserole... They have an excellent bar selection service is always friendly. And my little guy claims that this is his favorite place to eat!

Accommodated our party of 9 with ease on a Sunday after church. The Blueberry Salad is a winner. Had it with the smoked chicken and it was very filling and tasty. Good service as well.

Incredible food! Best buffalo chicken dip I’ve ever had at a restaurant. There were four of us and we ALL left incredibly impressed which is very rare for that group of people. Can’t wait to go back

Great menu and variety, includes unique items and old favorites. Great draft beer selection.

Average BBQ. Frankly disappointing. For example Williamson Bros. Brisket sandwich is $8.99 theirs $12.99. Sides are a bore. Catfish were like chicken tenders with burnt crust. I'd go to Captain D's before here again..Its about 25% more then the quality they deliver.

Dropped in for lunch together with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. A nice new flavor twist to what can be called simple country food. Simple decor, but esthetically appealing food and a service with a smile. The flavors are just right, the twist on recepies is refreshing. Left satisfied and happy. Successful lunch outing. I am definitely coming back.

This is a very different kind of BBQ place. It's not like any of the famous joints. It definitely made a name and place for itself. Tacos are the bomb. I was pleasantly surprised with mine. I also had the fried green tomatoes...they were good, but could have used a little something more...maybe more balsamic. Fries, for me, were a bit thin and crunchy, but were not bad. They were just too hard for me. I will certainly try it again. The day I came, the service was a bit slow as it was right at lunch, but the management was on top of it! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!Just walked out and I am upset. Most places now have a 6 foot distance between tables and at a bar there is space separated. Well I went to sit at bar w husband and the staff seated 2 people right next to me. I asked the manager why that is allowed and he acted like it was “ legal “ to have 14 seats at a bar when their bar is very small it puts you right against people. It sounds like they are bending the rules to suit their needs. They do have tables apart so why on earth NOT protect patrons at the bar by allowing at least 1 seat between people at the bar.

Great BBQ! The portions were gigantic. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant.

Very good food and the service was excellent . Fairly short menu but good options. Those of our party that had barbecue enjoyed their meals and I had wings that were very good. Plenty of free parking and restaurant is conveniently located in the Kroger plaza on 140.

WONDERFUL food and great service. We always bring our out-of-town guests to this restaurant so they can experience authentic southern dishes. HIGHLY recommended, they never disappoint.

Picked up Doordash order. Right on time and exactly as ordered.

Came here today for lunch. One of the 3 girls that seem to be hosting asked us what would be our preferred seating option and we stated booth. She said it would be a second as they were wiping down the available booth. As we waited in the little host area unbonounced to us the people behind us were greeted and escorted to said booth and seated. The other host asked us to sit at the bar until a booth came available. It wasn't until we sat at the bar we realized what had happened. No apologies... nothing.. seems a little un professional to me. If they accidentally gave our table to someone else own it and apologize and offer other seating options and not just leave us to wait.

I really liked it the first time I came. The second it just wasn't as good. The salad had large amounts of dill and parsley that was just so odd and odd putting. The flavor was not a complement to the spinach. The dressing was nice, though. I'll return, maybe I will get a burger again, though.

Lots of different choices for everyone. I had the goat cheese salad and it was amazing, I also tried the redneck lasagna and it was really tasty

The Brisket is wonderful. I bought enough to feed 13 adults for our Christmas meal. It has become our tradition. This place is a must stop and eat joint for sure.

We ate there Saturday evening Oct. 5th. I had heard it was really good. I got pulled pork with 2 sides of collards. My meat was a bit dry. The collards were way too vinegary. My husband got pulled pork also with potato salad and slaw. Slaw was fair but potato salad was big chunks and too much mayo. It was disappointing. Two others ate with us. One got the burger and it sure didn't look like an 8 oz. burger. Said it was good. The other person got the smoked chicken and a salad. She said the chicken would have made a good sandwich.

Brisket - 3 orders - was very fatty and tough, delivered Luke warm. Rest of the meal was excellent. Manager only gave $7 credit . Would go back but definitely not for the brisket!

Awesome barbecue! They managed to have excellent meats AND sides! Do yourself a favor and try the fried green tomatoes..yum!

Went there for the first time tonight to get food for a family of 8 and not only was the food done fast but they were the NICEST people I've ever dealt with! And the food was some of the best BBQ I've ever had! This place deserves 5 star across the board!! Me and my family are definitely going to be their new regulars!! Cant wait for them to open back up so I eat there!!

I love their wings and burgers. My mom and sister went here and we got a lovely meal. They also have this really good chili. Plus, the staff were kind as well. What a lovely establishment!

Hands down the best restaurant in hickory flat! Best food I've had in years! I highly recommend this place and bring others here all the time!

An awesome dinner dinner for two and enough food for four! Ribs and brisket along with the greens and green bean casserole were to die for! Lillian our server was great! Way improved from the original soft opening! Don't miss this Hickory Flat Gem! The only downside they didn't have any cobler tonight. Otherwise this is a don't miss place to eat!

They know how to handle a big event for sure! The meats were deliciously smoked. The staff and bartenders were kind and the drinks were worth the $! Great place all around and the owner is a pretty amazing guy too for helping the staff and making sure everything went smoothly!

I went here tonight to get a chicken plate. And there was only one side even though on the menu it says two sides. When I got there and asked her she said there is only one side but I went back on the menu when I got home and they’re supposed to be two sides with the plate. The food portions are really small the chicken is hardly even part of a sandwich and a collar greens aren’t even to the top of the container. And it’s a very small container. Also they included a piece of white bread that’s not even toasted and was stale. This place is so close but my goodness awful quality.

I love Old Country Place and have eaten here several times. Everything I have tried has been great from the brisket to the salmon and the fried green tomatoes are an excellent appetizer. Service is always fast and friendly. Old County Place has a good local craft beer and cocktail selection, I personally enjoyed a Dry County beer and my wife loved the Blueberry Lemonade Vodka.
